Turnstyles Football Academy | Enfield, London

You can find our biggest and longest running football academy every Saturday and Sunday at the amazing Enfield Grammar School, which is located right in the heart of Enfield Town, north London.

Enfield Grammar School was founded in 1558 and nearly 500 years later Turnstyles is using the ever prestigious facilities to host our football and futsal classes for children from across London.

If you are looking for children’s football classes in Brighton then you can find our academy every week at the Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth form college, or the BHASVIC as it is more commonly known.

We teach both our football and futsal classes at the BHASVIC through our Summer and Winter Programmes.

Our children’s football classes in Leeds can be found at the Carr Manor Cumminty school every Saturday.

The school has brilliant facilities including a high-end 3G astroturf pitch for our players to play their football on throughout the year.

Turnstyles Football Academy London is the core of the three Turnstyles Academies across the UK.

Based in leafy green Enfield, the London academy is perfectly positioned in the heart of a true football loving area.

Enfield has a long history of grassroots, semi-professional and professional football, meaning it was a no brainer when the Turnstyles founder, Nathan Eno, set up the academy back in 2010.

The most famous of the football teams to operate in the Enfield area is Premier League giants, Tottenham Hotspur, who have their state of the training facility (which we have been lucky enough to play at) in the borough.

As for Turnstyles, our academy is based at the prestigious Enfield Grammar School which was founded in 1558!

Enfield Grammar School has fantastic facilities, which range from finely cut grass football pitches to a futsal hall and a brand new 3G astroturf pitch.

These brilliant facilities allow all of our 100+ academy players to train throughout the year during our Summer and Winter Programmes and at our football holiday camps.

Well, here it is. Turnstyles Football Academy structures each training session so that it is clearly in line with the Turnstyles Ethos.

We are so keen to make sure all of our sessions follow the same framework that we have put together a Coaching Guide for each of our coaches to ensure there is constant support and guidance offered to make sure we are working towards the same goal.

You’ll find our two-hour sessions divided into two key themes: Technical training and Match Play Specific Training.

Our aim is to develop football players who are technically talented and have a good game understanding. Understanding the game, knowing the ‘why’s?’ of football will help to make any player a better player.

At Turnstyles our players have the chance to develop through our coaching classes and they also have the opportunity to put their learning into practice by playing in Watford Friendly League matches throughout the season.

Our goal is to provide a fun and creative learning environment which allows any player to develop, from those who want to play football professionally to those simply interested in enjoying the sport and improving their skills.

Turnstyles provides children’s football classes in Brighton!

Did someone say children’s football classes in Brighton? Oh yes!

Turnstyles Football Academy Brighton launched in 2015 when academy director, Callum Hosier, moved to the south coast whilst studying at Brighton university.

Callum took to Brighton to widen his knowledge in the world of football and to help to spread the Turnstyles Ethos which he has been a key figure in forming since starting out as a coach at the academy, aged just 16.

Brighton was always a target location for Turnstyles to grow because of it’s cool, vibrant and colourful atmosphere, which we felt was so inline with the message Turnstyles has been teaching since our first training session back in 2010.

Once Callum had found the perfect facility to put both the Turnstyles Summer Programme and Winter Programme into action, it was time for the Turnstyles journey in Brighton to begin.

As always, the ethos behind the Turnstyles Brighton project was to provide children’s football classes in Brighton, helping to develop talented young players.

The academy launched at the BHASVIC in January 2015 and has been gradually growing ever since. There are some young Turnstyles who have been there since the start, young Harvey Bayram who also plays for Brighton and Hove Albion is one of the original Turnstyles Brighton players and a true asset to our academy.

Turnstyles Football Academy Brighton has close relationships with a number of schools in the Brighton area including St Paul’s Primary School and Middle Street Primary School, both of which are located in the city centre.

The academy will always be committed to providing a fun and creative learning environment for kids football in Brighton.

Turnstyles Winter Programme

The football season has started, the nights are getting longer and Christmas is on the way. It’s safe to say, winter is coming!

At Turnstyles, the colder months are a special time of the year for us, as it signals a change within our football academies across London, Brighton and Leeds.

Our Summer Holiday Camps are finished for another year, football tournaments completed and pre-season training over. This only means one thing, the Turnstyles Winter Programme is about to start.

Turnstyles Football Academy is dedicated to teaching children’s football in London, Leeds and Brighton all year round. To ensure the children get the most of their training sessions throughout the winter we have devised a special programme to cater for everyone’s needs.

Once our Winter Programme kicks off, our children, or players as we call them, will split into football classes and futsal classes depending on their age group, and here’s why…

At Turnstyles, we feel that our youngest children, aged between four years old and nine years old, benefit most from futsal training during the winter. Futsal is super cool, it is fast paced and helps improve technical ability on the ball.

Futsal is also played indoors, meaning no wind, rain or snow is going to stop us playing or have an hinderance on the pitch.

After School Classes

However, we also feel that our children’s football classes must also help develop our players for their league matches, which are played throughout the winter in the Watford Friendly League.

Our players aged 10 and above will play football throughout the winter. Yet, we still want to train on pitches that allow us to follow the Turnstyles Ethos and stick to our style of play – Thank goodness for astroturf!

So, fear not, there will be no frozen grass or muddy pitches to stop you playing. Turnstyles has prepared a programme to make sure we can provide the best service to help our players improve their technical ability and game understanding throughout the year.

Turnstyles launches FREE sport in schools programme!

Turnstyles Football Academy is ecstatic to announce our FREE sport in schools program to give children the opportunity to experience fantastically fun football and fustal classes.

At Turnstyles we know that the positive effects of football, futsal and sport in general are invaluable when it comes to the development of children.

From forming fabulous friendships to positive problem solving, sport can teach children key skills that will take them all through life.

Sport can be career path or just a hobby, sport can be something serious or simply fun with friends, sport can provide a place to learn or a place to chill out and relax.

We want to give all children the chance to experience playing football and futsal. Therefore, we are offering up to four hours of free coaching per half-term to primary schools in north London, Brighton and Leeds in the form of a Turnstyles Taster Day.

The Turnstyles Taster Day will be conducted by our very own Turnstyles Coaches who are all FA qualified and DBS checked.

Each taster day will also include an assembly on the benefits of playing football and futsal for every child, even if they do not want to be the next Lionel Messi!
